SilkAir orders Boeing 737s worth US$4.9b

SINGAPORE, Aug 6 (GCTL) - Singapore Airlines' regional carrier SilkAir said on Friday it has signed a letter of intent to buy new aircraft from Boeing worth USD$4.9 billion, making it the largest order in SilkAir's history.
