COSCO Pacific's PRD ports see May cargo fall 4.3%

SHENZHEN, June 18 (GCTL) - Cosco Pacific's south China ports reported handled 1.33 million TEU in May, a 4.3% decline compared with the same month a year ago, and between January and May, the ports handled a total of 6.52 million TEU, up marginally by 0.7% versus the same period a year ago.

COSCO-HIT Terminal (Hong Kong) Ltd reported that it handled 152,500 TEU in May, down 3.3% compared with the same month a year ago, while Yantian Int’l Container Terminals Ltd handled 831,400 TEU, a 4.9% dip compared with the same month a year earlier.

Guangzhou South China Oceangate Container Terminal Co., Ltd. reported that it handled 350,300 TEU in May, a 3.4% decline versus the same month in 2012.
