Chinese airlines record mixed fortunes in Q1

BEIJING, May 3 (GCTL) - The four major Chinese domestic airlines experienced mixed fortunes in the first quarter with Air China, the nation’s biggest carrier by market value, recording a 0.7 percent fall in its revenue to 22.7 billion yuan ($3.68 billion), but net profits increased 4 percent to 249 million yuan.
