Global air cargo demand dips 4.7pc in October: IATA

GENEVA, Nov 29 (GCTL) - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that October cargo demand was 4.7 percent below the same month in 2010 due to a loss of confidence of purchasing managers in the manufacturing sector has fallen to its lowest level since 2009, and decided to switch from airfreight to slower and cheaper sea options.
