HONG KONG, July 20 (GCTL) - The Asian Shipowners' Forum (ASF) has strongly urged the Contact Group for Piracy off the Coast of Somalia (CGPCS) to consider the establishment of a UN-Sanctioned Counter Piracy Task Force to tackle Somali Piracy which undeniably remains a serious threat to world shipping and trade, and needs to be eliminated immediately with concrete and effective actions over and above the existing measures currently put in place by the international community.
