LONDON, July 26 (GCTL) - The Shippers' Voice has called for a debate on whether forwarders are “inevitable but useless middlemen in the supply chain” and pointed out that the adversarial nature of the relationships between shippers, carriers and freight forwarders can prevent the optimum solutions being found, with too much focus on hard-nosed negotiation over price rather than service.
