Container shipping threatened by early rate fall

LONDON, Mar 7 (GCTL) - Double-digit freight rate falls in the Asian container trades seen during the off-peak January-February period will influence service contract all-in freight rates in the Asia-to-North America trade to decline by 10 percent overall this year, despite higher bunker surcharges, according to London-based Drewry Shipping Consultants.
