TAIPEI, June 22 (GCTL) - Taiwan’s export orders dropped, for the third consecutive month, by 3.04% year-on-year to US$36.47 billion in May, reported the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) yesterday (June 20). Moreover, export orders from ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries tumbled 8.61% year-on-year in May, the first such decline since the outbreak of the global financial tsunami, after excluding the seasonal factor of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
