Met two German IT types over the weekend, a guy called Marcus and his friend Mike, who are in Hong Kong on vacation. They were asking how business was getting on in this part of the world, and commented that business was not looking that good in their part of the world. Both of them came from Stuttgart, and although they are technically very advanced in their technology, their businesses have also been hurt by the global financial crisis. They say that many parts of Europe have also been hurt by the global recession and they were still limping, despite signs of a slight recovery here and there. So transport and logistics professionals in this part of the world should keep their chins up, as Hong Kong and China are still in a much stronger position as intra-Asia trade is still strong. Better things are yet to come.
