Modern Terminals - HK's 2nd largest container terminal
HONG KONG, Sept 20 (GCTL) - Hong Kong port's box traffic rose slightly by just 0.9 percentage point in August to 2.01 million TEU compared to 1.99 million TEU in the same month last year.
The volume of boxes handled at Kwai Ching terminals rose 2.4 percent to 1.31 million TEU last month, while the mid-stream and river trade handled 700,000 TEU.
Between January and August, Hong Kong port handled a total throughput of 14.64 million, TEU up 1.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
